CTLpack achieves EcoVadis Platinum Medal 2022
- Only 1% of the companies achieve the necessary score to obtain this recognition.
- The EcoVadis platform evaluates the performance of companies in terms of sustainability and CSR.
CTLpack obtained EcoVadis certification in the Platinum category, the highest rating awarded to only 1% of the companies in the plastics sector, evaluated worldwide, for their work in corporate social responsibility.
Since 2017, EcoVadis has been certifying the work of CTLPack Vitoria and CTLpack Vichy, having achieved the Gold medal in previous years.
This tool evaluates the performance of companies in sustainability in the categories “Environment”, “Labor Practices and Human Rights”, “Ethics” and “Sustainable Purchasing”. With a score of 78/100, CTLpack outperforms the average of the companies evaluated in all four areas.
Furthermore, CTLpack maintained its score level in Environment, despite the fact that EcoVadis requirements increased, standing out in sustainable solutions such as weight reduction in its products, the use of bio-based materials and PCR, or the development of monomaterial and fully recyclable tubes.
For Luis Izco, CEO of the group, “for more than fifteen years, the commitment to sustainability and socially responsible activity have been a priority for CTLpack and awards such as this one endorse our work. This medal is the result of the constant work of our team and represents a guarantee of business quality. We are very proud to place ourselves at the same level as major leading corporations worldwide.”
Based in France, EcoVadis is the only universal provider of sustainability ratings. Through its unique Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) evaluation methodology, it assesses the practices of more than 75,000 companies in over 160 countries.
The system that EcoVadis applied includes seven management indicators based on 21 sustainability criteria, which are focused on the four areas of evaluation. It is based on the main standards, such as those of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), the UN Global Compact and ISO 26000, and it is supervised by an international scientific committee. They rate performance by evaluating a company’s policies, actions and results, as well as the inputs from third-party professionals and external stakeholders.
